I think it's great if you free-feed and your dog is able to maintain a healthy weight and regulate their own intake (I know that a lot of dogs are able to do this!) But at the moment I prefer scheduled feedings. It helped us when Toki was a pup to anticipate when she'd need to potty and was necessary when we were trying to get her to lose weight. Also in the past I was doing 1 raw meal and kibble for the other so obviously you can't leave raw out. I do know that some people leave out kibble all the time and set out the one raw meal for breakfast/dinner so it's really up to your preference or any special needs your dog has.

I am home and able to set out her meals at 7 AM and 6 PM but in the future if my job doesn't permit me to follow that schedule, I may try out free-feeding
