Sad Day for Sabre I had to break the news to him. Our fatty fatty two by four... is not anywhere near big enough for admission to the teapot club.
At his vet check, he weighed in at a staggering 5.8 lbs, though I think he could lose a few ounces to a svelte 5.5, and when he is in hard condition, possibly 5.3 or 2.
They raved about him at the vets, though. They were amazed at how calm he was, nothing phased him, not his shot, not the temp taking, he just took it all, truly a pudding dog. The fun part was seeing a lady there with her tinies. They were Pixie sized, and she had them in a baby carriage, I thought that was too cute, I had to say to her, looks like we're members of the same club. Another lady had never seen a cotton coat even though she has a yorkie too, so it was fun talking to her about that. Even though he's sub standard, he's educating people, and that can only be something good.
We went in because I was concerned about this off and on ear shaking he was doing. Poor baby has a bit of a yeast infection going on in there, deep down inside the canal. We have ourt meds, and he might not like the ear cleaning, but he doesn't give me a fight about it, it's like pleh, just get this over with.
Sabre is thick bodied, and thick boned, so I thought for sure he weighed more than he did. I'm not complaining but Sabre on the other hand... we came home from the vet, and he seems determined to make his way into the teapot club by hook or crook.. so he went and tried to steal the cats food.
