I have met with the parents twice, and I know i am doing the right thing. I only sell my pups locally and keep track of them. so is very, very important that you both meet the breeder a good breeder is going to become part of your life, I have built great relationships with my puppy parents, specially I doggy sit my puppies when they go on vacations, and they know they can always call me with any concerns.. best of luck in your search. |
I know my post doesn't belong here, but I felt compelled to respond. Last week I lost my beloved Yorkie, Barkley to an aggressive form of stomach cancer. He had just turned 13 old and diagnosed in September. I thought he might beat the odds, but I was wrong. I have been totally devastated and see him all over the house. My kids think I need a new dog to fill the void. I told them that as soon as the holidays are over I will look for a rescue Yorkie. Seems to me there is always an abundance of dogs taken to shelters after the "surprise puppy" turns into the reality that you are looking at a 15 (hopefully) year responsibility. While I am sure this man's intentions are good, his wife needs to know what she is getting into. I always joked that Yorkies are terriers first and lap dogs second. Everyone wants one but not everyone is prepared to care for one. I hope this man finds what he is looking for, that his wife falls in love with the bundle of joy and they do just fine, but I still agree with you Carmen. Give her a business card from a reliable breeder and let her make the decision.
Good luck to him - whatever he does.
