I hope it is puppy teeth he is having trouble with. They should have been gone at around 6 or 7 months. Many Yorkies do have trouble with retained puppy teeth. Most owners have them removed by the vet when they are spayed or neutered.
If you can, check in his mouth for double rows of teeth in the mouth. Retained baby teeth can cause infections and other problems in the mouth. If they are his adult teeth he is having trouble with that would be a problem, too. Usually the baby teeth are behind the adult teeth but not always. You should be able to tell the difference. Sounds like he may need to be checked by his vet. |
