Yorkies are notorious for having a hard time losing all of their teeth on their own. Maybe yours just held onto this baby tooth but finally lost it on his own. If it were me, I'd still just pop into the vet's office to ask if he thought all was well.
If that tooth was loose and another one seems to be, this would be why he's eating slowly...his mouth is sore/teething.
