I haven't had any experience with this, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum.
I think any grain free food is good (everyone has their faves). I see Canine Caviar and Royal Canin for yorkies suggested a lot. Maybe moisten his kibble up with some water for now..until his teeth or better? Others will help more than this
