I usually do not mind a contract very much cause you can get a good rate. In fact, one reason i was interested in Direct was because they would give me a printout of how much each month would be the whole term of contract. But because i had to quit my job, we do not know what the future holds financial wise. Right now, we are treading water. While we are paying our bills (some on budget plans), we are cutting out a lot and there is not as much food in the house, and we have had to change our lifestyle. The next thing to go may have to be cable or internet. If we switched to a contract at this point then have to cancel, we would still have to pay a lot of money. Right now we have no contract with comcast so if we cancel, no problem (except i might go crazy at home all day).
Our only options are ATT, Comcast or Direct. It has only been the last year or so we had a different option other than comcast.

Still aggravated and will be for awhile. Next time dh may call.
