I have never put a collar on Emy since I've gotten her,only harnesses, I've had her since she was 12 weeks..she is now 8 1/2 months...I bought one of those little grooming tables that you set on the floor, it rotates, and it has one of those loops, I want to get her used to being on the little table on the floor, but I don't just want to stick that loop around her neck, what should I do to get her used to it? I want to trim her up myself and not take her to a groomer. I know they put those loops around their necks and just leave them standing there...how awful...what if you had a dog that lurched off the table or something....anyway...I want to do it myself...but she has never had anything around her neck....any suggestions on how to begin..? Should I get a collar her size and put it on and take it off..in the kitchen and leave it on for a few minutes then take it off for a few days till she's used to feeling something around her neck? how do you measure for a collar, is it exactly their neck size with holes for adjustment?
