You should wait three days after a bath before applying any topical flea med for it to work properly. The skin has to have a certain amount of natural oil in it for the med to spread around as it should. If you use it right after a bath it will not be effective.
If you don't have a tick problem maybe try using a product that does not contain the additional tick medication. At least it is one less med to have to deal with especially for a tiny dog. Advantage II has worked well for my little girl. |
