Default how to lose potential customer

The other night, i called direct tv after our discount for comcast expired and bill went up 15.00. I told the lady who answered i wanted just to get some prices for tv and internet. She said she would have to send me to someone else for internet but could set me up on the tv. I again told her I did not want to commit to anything just wanted to see if i could save money. So she gave me a good price and then said let me set you up. again told her no. she asked if i had a credit card with me. i said no did not need it as i was not signing up tonight till i talked to hubby. She said i needed to put down 9.95 to keep that deal as an option before it ran out. I told her if we decided to go with them it would be in the next 1/2 hour and i was not putting down money for something i might not take.
She then put her super on the line. He said i needed to save the offer by putting down the money. I said no. I should have hung up at that time but i hate being hung up on so i try not to. He said if i decided to not get the service they would refund my money. I told him no and that i had told the first lady and thanks but that was all i needed.

Tonight I get a call from direct and the guy asked "are you going to get the service with us? " I said no and he hung up without another word.

I was thinking of going with them as dd and bil both have it an like it. Cheaper. Can not sign up for contract right now so decided not to get it.

Now may not later. Very aggressive and rude.
