I would honestly consider keeping her confined to a room of the house while you are away at work again. That would be the only way that you would be able to supervise her enough to know that she will not be peeing all through your house while you are away.
When you are home I would just pay close attention to her for a couple of weeks. Treat her like a puppy that you're potty training. Keep her with you and start making scheduled visits to the potty pads when you're home. If she goes anywhere else in the house, quickly correct her.
She will learn in time. I'm sure she probably started peeing around the house while you were gone at work. If that is the case than no one was there to correct her for her behavior and show her that is not okay.
Yorkies are a harder breed to potty train, and need absolute consistency (sometimes even well into their first year).
I know it must be very frustrating right now, but if she does not have some kind of infection, and this is just her peeing where ever she wants than I think that would be the best approach as to how to fix this problem. |
