Oh my, I am so sorry for you. Years ago, we had a nasty neighbor when we lived in an apartment and she never changed during the 2 1/2 year period. We walked too loud, talked too loud, the birds and squirrels dropped seed from our deck on hers, etc. These are usually very unhappy, lonely people with nothing else to do but find fault in others and complain about it. They are usually looking hard for things to complain about. Unless Berlin is a city unfriendly to dogs, she is probably alone in her nastiness toward your dog. Unless you want to go out of your way to try to please this woman, I wouldn't change a thing you are doing. Keep him on the leash, pick up the poo, pee and poo in approved areas and keep being considerate like you already are. Check the apartment rules, city ordinances, etc., and that's all you can do. I find it hard to believe that a yorkie could pee on a tree and kill it. My yorkie pees all over my yard and goes for regular walks in the neighborhood and he's never killed anything in 9 years and I'm a master gardener. I would keep him safe from her, however, because she's obviously a dog hater. Make sure he's not barking while you are gone (maybe leave the TV on for background noise) because that woman would call and complain in an instant to try to have your dog removed. |
