I think that maybe the small breed formula will have smaller, flatter pieces so I'd go for that formula if Joel has trouble with regular sized kibble. Otherwise, I'd rotate with the regular adult varieties! I also know that the small breed formulas of some brands (like Fromm and Earthborn) have slightly higher protein/fat content and more calories. I've never fed small breed kibble because Toki really enjoys crunching the bigger pieces and I kinda feel like small kibbles could be a choking hazard with the way she inhales food. But either formula would be fine
