This just happened a few minutes ago (and happens a lot), so I figured I would ask if anyone elses pup does it and/or how to make it stop.

Something outside (probably a stray dog or wild animal) made a noise. Joey barks and I tell him "quiet" (thats our word). So then he runs around the house doing this low growl...as if people could hear him. Then any little noise he starts barking again. This goes on for at least 30 minutes until he knows hes scared whatever it is away..

How do I get him to drop it once I tell him quiet? My other dog (a lab) didnt bark once, so I know its nothing serious.
