Default Doing so well, didn't even go to vet

After I posted this morning, my husband & I decided that we wouldn't even go to the vet.......he seemed so remarkably improved. Even if he needs work on teeth, we can do that later this week. My vet had been gone for several days to a statewide vet convention, so I know her day today was going to be hectic beyond words.

But I'm thinking it is a hair caught in the throat issue. When we sucked out a bunch of junk from his mouth, I just took the end off to clean. A little later I noticed coming out of the tubing a 2 inch thing looking like a piece of string.....and I mean string like packaging string.....not a thread. It was several hairs with attached goop. Kind of like when hair gets in your sink and you clean it out there's all kind of gunk on it. Later in the day, I started cleaning out the end into a small clear dish. Sure enough in one cleaning there were about 8 very fine hairs about 1/2 to 3/4 inch long amongst the phlegm which was very yellow. I have determined that those fine hairs come from the bed he's sleeping in......its kind of a fake sheepskin stuff, and he is quite a licker. Different bed for him!

A long time ago he had a cough and finally discovered that about 3 very long hairs from the side of his mouth were clear down is throat....again with goop attached. I had even checked again this time. So just info that maybe down the line somebody can use.
