Pat and poor little Muffin.

Don't you worry little Muffin, many a toothless Yorkie still eats kibble and not even ground up. They just suck them little suckers up. In fact if your mom doesn't want to feed you kibble anymore you don't have to eat it as one of the primary reasons for kibble is to crunch your food so if you are nice maybe she will just feed you wet. heehee...Oh that's right your sister is around and she needs to still eat kibble, Okay..Okay.

Seriously Pat, many a rescue has come through and we have had to pull many teeth even a 3 years old dog. They were rotten. Most of them were back to eating a little food by that evening and they were not on pain meds. If fact some of them were so thrilled to have the hurting teeth gone they were dancing a jig.

I am so glad you got Muffin in as teeth decay/rot will kill a Yorkie. It sends poison into their system and we had to have one Yorkie put down because it had enlarged her heart so much she could barely breath and it was all due to bad teeth. It was very sad.

I always laugh at some of the little old Yorkie's their tongues are hanging out because they do not have any teeth left but they still jump into their food without a problem.

For everyone reading this remember...February is National Dental Month for dogs and most vets will give a discount rate for cleaning their teeth...
and they sure feel better after it is done.
