How small is the yorkie you found? I highly recommend you take her to a vet and seek advise from them. It is a huge responsibility delivering and caring for the momma and a litter of pups. If she was bred by a bigger dog then she could very well need a c-section. The gestation period is around 63 days. Usually a vet can palpate for puppies when the female is about 28 days along. Most females will start showing signs of pregnancy when they are 5 weeks along. It really depends on the size of the female and how many puppies she might be carrying.
