Yeast is all around us and generally "good" bacteria keep the yeast in check. However, certain things can throw it off, like taking antibiotics and killing the good bacteria, or even just being run down. A yeast infection can be symptom of a larger problem, so that’s why it should always be checked out by a doctor. You don’t want to be just treating symptoms; you want to treat the problem.
