It was a CHUNK of pork chop from his dinner. I was not there when he was eating, but Lola was, I told him a day ago not to give it to her since it was cooked in sherry, butter and creme of mushroom soup, but not only did it give her some he gave her a piece that I would have trouble swallowing. He loves Lola and calls me on the carpet the second he thinks I did anything in the slightest that would upset her, so I am sitting here trying to hold my tounge until the morning, but I am pissed that he would give her such a large piece of food, dogs don't always chew stuff like that, they inhale it and after 25 years of owning small dogs you would think he would know better.
Hi, nice to meet ya (I'm new here and lovinggggg it!). I'm really happy to hear that she threw up actually, as gross as it may be. It's out of her tummy and no real damage has been done. I'm also new to having a yorkie, but NOT NEW to dogs of all sizes and breeds, so I'm learning that you are so right about never giving large pieces of anything to a yorkie...they gobble and choke it down! Never have I ever seen that before. It's like they're starved for food and no one feeds them...the way they eat Your husband had the best of intentions...however bad an idea to give a bone of any size that is cooked to a dog. (I hear cooked bones are bad as they fragment in the throat after chewing). I may be wrong...but this is what I have been told many times, so I don't do it. I hope all is well in your house hold now day...
