We are not sure yet how often this needs to be done but they are hoping to find an adopter that does not mind doing this. The vet staff said the surgery to fix this is really expensive but everything I'm reading on this condition says you should do something about it. He doesnt seem like it bothers him, the area isnt swollen or anything but I wonder if they are not taking this serious enough or if I'm being too paraniod and overprotective. Any one else experienced this? Is their anything you can add to thier diet or skin to help at all??
Does anyone have a dog they have to do this to??
LMAOOOO!! That is the cutest, funniest and classies way of putting "it" I have everrrrrrrrrrr heard!!!!!! Thank you for my first morning smile... It's not a funny situation at all...only the way you described it. I don't know how to resolve this issue as my yorkie seems too have lipstick issues over two of his toys and I keep his playing with them to a minimum. If Oliver were my boy...the first thing I would do is find some kind of "underwear" that covers his privates to prevent so much licking. The surgery, which I can't IMAGINE what they do...would definately be something worth saving up for if it would give him quality of life. In the meanwhile I also would ask my vet about vasoline and if it would be ok to keep him moisurized as an aid...
