My husband, the hero! My husband works for the CN Railroad at the docks up in Two Harbors, MN. Today he and a co-worker were out doing something and spied a little white dog running down the tracks. DH saw that there was a collar and tags on the dog and obviously KNEW that the dog shouldn't be there so he started to try to catch him. It took a good fifteen minutes to finally get this scared, tired pup but they did. DH called the number on little "Bandit"'s tag and told the woman who answered who he was, where he was, and that he had her dog. DH said that the woman was instantly crying and hysterical because she was so happy. DH met her a few minutes later and she told him that the dog had gotten out and disappeared 10 days ago and, short of a miracle, they expected never to see him again. DH was SOOOOO happy to have been able to return the dog to his very happy owners! I'm so proud of him, too. I know TOO many people who would have given up after the first attempt when the dog dropped tail and ran like hell! Anyway, I was just so proud that I had to share, I figured that you would all understand and appreciate the story. =)
