The ones I use for Ginger have clips on the back, so I’m able to get them on relatively fast and they stay put too, unless she’s really been working on it. I found them at Wal-Mart in the baby department. They don’t always carry them though, (they have the metal clasps, not plastic) so last time I was able to find them I stocked up.
When she comes back from the groomers she’ll have it up in a rubber band and I always end up taking it out. I like for her to be able to relax and be comfortable if we’re not going out. So the metal barrettes work great.
