I have 4 that are from rescues. The main point with adding a new member to your family is the company that your little one will have when your Mom is not home. They will have each other. I had one yorkie back 20 years ago. after he past, I said I would never get another yorkie without a play mate . So, when I got Sadie and the last puppy was looking at me , like to say , why are you taking my sister away from me... I said OKay how much for her? That was the best thing I ever did. They are litter mates and best buddies. I fostered for a local rescue group, and had many little dogs that I fostered. I now have stopped fostering, but I have people that know me , So if someone has a yorkie they have to re home I will take them, Get them vetted, spayed/neutered dental ect. I keep them until I find the perfect, stay at home, no young children home that I can find. Even if it takes months. I keep in touch with all of my new homes and most want a new one to add to the family. I have 5 yorkies and a maltese and no more for me. LOL I can not think of any cons at all. Good Luck.
