[lily's mom]

We were soooooooo stupid in the beginning. We didn't even know right off the bat there was a problem. When the puppies began to grow a bit, this particular pup wasn't keeping up. However, his head was a bit larger than everyone elses. Everyone else kept growing, but 'manard' remained small except for his head. Then he began to do something strange, his tongue seemed to get stuck on the roof of his mouth. He wouldn't be able to breathe or couldn't seem to stop unless he had help. We would lightly tap the back part of his head and that helped him get back to normal. I got SO attached to that little guy. Vets told us they couldn't help him. It seemed he went down hill fast. I held him and read to him all the time. It tore my heart out the night he passed. He hadso much will to live and hung on way longer than he should have. He the total TLC. He pretty much was always held and snuggled. We did whatever to ease his pain and show him love.
