OMGosh! This is just insane! I have no more words I can say here... just unbelievable! I hope her doctors can find a work-around for this.
The year (many, many years ago) I had my back surgery, the hospital discharged me. By the time we got to the door, about an inch of snow was laying on the ground. It was night time and had just started snowing, so no salt was on the walkways or roads. No way was I going to risk falling 2 days after the surgery. I told them to check me back in. They said my insurance wouldn't cover another day. I said I didn't care, I would pay for it out of my own pocket... I was not going to risk a fall. They checked me back in... and the insurance did cover it!
