Its never easy the first few times and for some the first ole dozen or so times.

Hang in there he'll get use to it sooner or later. I groom all four of mine and some were ok with it and others took some getting use to the idea and the noise of the clippers. It helps to introduce the clipper and all of the supplies in a non grooming situation. No electricity or anything, just show him and let him smell them. touch them to his body and tell him what a good boy he is being. Kind of get his use to the idea of them being in the same room with him before you go a "gung ho" and start his cut.
