Blazer has a really wavy coat, not curly, though. I was going to let his coat grow out through the winter- I thought it would keep him warmer outside- but it just started to get matted instead, especially his legs. Yesterday I bit the bullet, pulled out the clippers and scissors and started working on him. I took just a little bit of length off of his body, really cut down his leg hair (scissors only) and trimmed up his ears and just around the eyes. I left his head and face alone- a little longer. I like the results! =) So anyway, I guess my point is that I don't think he looks odd with short hair on his legs, longer on the body, longer still on his head but with a trimmed face. Ok, it makes more sense when I'm looking at Blazer and when I say it in my head. Sorry if it is confusing to read! LOL!
