He looks Yorkie to me... but I'm definitely not an expert. My first Yorkie, Marley, was turned in at my office. I had no idea what his background was. He was "about two"; flea covered; had ticks; had nails so long it had to hurt; had on a collar that was so little it was choking him; ... you get the picture. Anyway, I sent off one of those DNA kits, and turns out he's purebred. He's probably four now, and about 9#. Yorkies come in a lot of sizes. I think your baby is just on the big side. When there is confusion, it's generally with Silkies, but they have a unique look, and your baby does not look like a Silky. Join the Teapot club, and enjoy your baby. I have since adopted a tiny Yorkie, and he is a holy terror. Tiny is not always better.
