Derik could do it, we both have experience in construction he started working with a general contracter at 16 I was child slave labored as were all my cousins in a family business like every summer lol.

But..I'm so freaking picky, like with trim boards etc if their not a perfect 90 angle, set flush and levek I want it redone correctly...Derik is better with machinery...he's not finish detail oriented...I'd have to fire him. LoL
A little knee time now will save lots of knee time down the road, but there's no way you should do it. I don't think tile is one of those things that takes a precision person. You do have to follow certain instructions, proper board under the tile, right amount of mortar and if you place the spacers, you take the guess work out of how close they should be, the spacers make the tile even. Only really hard part is cutting the tile, when we did it, Home Depot had a tile cutter and we just took the pattern to them and had them cut it. We had ordered the tile from them, so they didn’t mind cutting it. Another option is to research installers, prices are more competitive now than they were a few years ago.
