Sincere welcome! I live in Houston, TX with my DH and 6 little dogs, only one of which is a Yorkie (a Biewer Yorkie in fact).
My DH is legally blind since birth. I am disabled and retired early in February, 2012 at 64. I have no health insurance till January 1. I HAD drug induced Lupus that they never could figure out what caused it. It is gone now, thank God but I went through a real struggle.
Now I am dealing with arthritis in both knees, one foot, both hands and one arm. I also have Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis caused by Autoimmune Hepatitis (not contagious), Grave's disease and Hashimoto's Disease. I don't have many days I feel really well anymore.
BUT, like you, my little ones are therapy dogs. If it was NOT for them, I would probably just pull the covers up over my head in the morning and not get out of bed. I adore my DH but my little rug rats keep me going from day to day.
