This is most definitely the truth. Take the advice of these people that if you are not going to get a dog from a rescue please make sure you get the dog from a good breeder.
When I got my first Yorkshire terrier as a naive teenager, unknowing of puppy mills and backyard breeders, I got my first Yorkshire terrier from a non-reputable breeder. Granted, even though Clyde is a purebred dog he came from a backyard breeder who did not care in the slightest about the health and genetics of the dogs he was breeding. Clyde may have been cheaper in price, but he has had a variety of medical issues that come from bad breeding. He has to be on medication for the rest of his life.
I love Clyde more than anything and wouldn't give him up for anything, but I know now and am smart enough to never invest in a backyard breeder again.
So, having said all of that! I agree with most everyone here! I would get a Yorkshire terrier. They are definitely the most expressive little dogs (to me) with the greatest personalities!
