Zwilling J.A. Henckels is the "Premium Brand" that has existed since 1731. All of our TWIN (Zwilling actually means TWIN) brand products, such as TWIN Cuisine, TWIN Pro "S", and TWIN Four Star II are from this brand. You can tell a Zwilling J.A. Henckels product from the logo which is the "two-man" logo. Most Zwilling J.A. Henckels TWIN brand products are made in Henckels factories in Germany, and a few like TWIN Cermax M66 are constructed in Japan.

J.A. Henckels International is our "Value Brand". These products are designed for the value conscious consumer who wants a quality product to handle their everyday needs. You can tell J.A. Henckels International products from the "one man" logo. J.A. Henckels International products are mainly manufactured in Henckels factories in Spain and China. Products from this brand include the Classic and Forged Synergy knife series, Classic Clad Cookware, and Premiere Series Flatware.

Every product we sell will display either the Zwilling J.A. Henckels logo (TWIN logo) or the J.A. Henckels International logo ("single guy"). The cutlery series from both brands have a lifetime warranty.

The other question seems to be concerning the steel used in manufacturing products. All Zwilling J.A. Henckels (TWIN) knife series, besides TWIN Cermax M66, are constructed using high carbon, no-stain steel which is Friodur ice-hardened for maximum corrosion resistance and blade strength. This high carbon steel is from Germany. TWIN Cermax M66 knives are constructed with microcarbide powder steel surrounded by clad material. J.A. Henckels International cutlery is constructed with different types of German steel as well. Series like the Classic are constructed with carbon, no-stain steel, while series like Fine Edge Pro are constructed of German stainless steel.
