I definitely agree that it depends on the dog and also how well your training them. I didn't potty train Geno as hard as I did with our girl. Our girl knows to go onto the pad but she still has a few accidents here and there which is expected cause she's only 6 months old exactly today lol And the accidents are usually due to the pad needing changed. She'll go potty right next to the pad in these cases.

Geno is 1 yr 6 months old exactly today and he marks every where and goes wherever. It's really annoying but the only one I can blame is myself for not being as consistent with it as I am with Mia. Plus Mia was very easy to train and caught on to pad training incredibly well. When I first got Geno, potty training him became a nightmare and I started to just give up. I don't think it has anything to do with his gender though. More so his stubborn temperment cause he is quite smart. Just last night, I threatened both of them with the crate at bedtime cause they both wouldn't calm down and go to bed. Geno took quickly to this threat and ran onto the bed and laid down right on top of me. lol
