I've only had male dogs- my GSP was trained when we brought him home so I can't count him but Blazer has been pretty easy to train, overall. I'm a SAHM though so I think that makes it easier for me- I'm always here and can be really consistant. It worked for my female children (all potty trained before age 2) so I use the same idea for the dog. LOL! Keep them close, watch for signals, praise like crazy for success, and just generally be aware and proactive.
