When I first brought Blazer home I would set down his daily allowance in the morning and pay attention to when he would eat. About 15 minutes after eating I'd take him out to poo. He developed his own schedule of eating about three times a day- morning, noon, and evening. Now I give him his daily allowance in 3 divisions but leave the bowl down for him to eat when he is ready to. He is SUPER good about letting me know that he needs to go out (he's just under 6 months now.)
