Oh, gosh, I love sinking down to the hips in fairly deep snow and trying to walk in it when at a ski resort. That's part of the fun! But I love snow since I don't have to live with it and we rarely see it in the D/FW area and certainly not deep. I never could ski worth a darn but all the other things do there are so much fun, especially evenings in the lodge around the central fireplace with the new friends you make there or a couple you go with, overlooking the blue mountainside through the huge glass wall. I love all the trappings of a mountain ski lodge with the rustic beams and wood touches, stone fireplaces, rustic rugs. Such atmosphere and ambiance. Ya'll gotta get to Timberline or one of the old lodges with lots of history.
