I went out last year, the kids wanted iPod Touches... they were on sale at Best Buy and Target for the same price. LUckily one of our kids drove and the stores were about 4 miles apart... so the kids went to best buy and stood in line at 10pm, we went to Target and stood in line. We had a BLAST! We made friends, chatted with people for hours. We took turns driving back and forth between the 2 stores to bring each other hot coffee/chocolate. In the end the kids got into Best Buy first, called us to say they had no iPods left, so we told them to head straight to Target, they would open in a few mins. They got there and within mins, they were racing inside. They each got their iPod for a VERY good price and we got $50 gift cards with the purchase.
The fun part was making them wait until Christmas for the gift they KNEW they were getting!!!! LOL
We had a great time last year though seriously. I don't mind crowds, it's sooo energizing! But this year, there was nothing that the kids mentioned wanting and there were no real door buster prices that made me say I need to get out and go at 10pm. I checked every ad with a fine tooth comb.... but nothing! Stayed home, slept good and saturday I went out ALL day shopping with my bro's girlfriend, we were out for 10 hours and most stores told us the prices that day were the same as black friday prices, but the crowds were a lot smaller.
