In Canada dogs are allowed to go home at 7-8 weeks I think but I wouldve preferred to wait until 12 myself. Unfortunately I was not given this option.. My breeders seem pretty legit. They have been breeding for 30 years and they are registered with the ckc. They also offered me a refund or a new dog but I really did like Grim, he was perfect besides his sickness. One concern I do have is that the breeders seemed to downplay his illness when they got him back. They said "oh yes he has a small cough and will be better in no time", but when I had him it was much wOrse then a small cough. I hope they don't send me back a sick dog who will be prone to this stuff. On a good note though, at least Grim is getting a full 16 weeks at home with his mom and the other dogs she has. Hopefully he will learn some good doggy manners from them and become stronger and healthier. |

There is more than one way to skin a cat!!! As breeders, they may have seen much sicker dogs....so what is a little cough to them, was a major deal to you! I remember going with my cousin to visit her mom in ICU.....we walked in and when I saw my aunt (I am an ICU nurse!), she looked great to me!!! I was thrilled with how good she looked!!!....my cousin FAINTED!!!! So maybe your baby is not as bad as you thought, and this is super! AND, like you say, he will be with them until he is 16 weeks old and through this! Mission accomplished!!! I cant wait for you to get your baby back!
