My Wylie has Atypical Cushings. The only known supps that can help are flax lignans (there is a very specific brand/type recommended by U of Tenn) and melatonin (for the hair loss). Imo, lignans often don't work - but if they do, that's wonderful since they're so harmless.

I've heard good things about Vetoryl (trilostane) - it works beautifully for some dogs. All Cushing meds have the potential for nasty side effects, but many dogs do wonderfully once you find the right med and get it titrated (can take months). My Wylie is on Lysodren, btw, which is a pretty toxic med also - but he's never had a single side effect. He was diagnosed around age 4, he is now 8.

As for diet, the only thing that really applies there is if your kiddo has the weight gain that some dogs get w/ Cushings.
