Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on the new addition to your family! Size doesn't limit a Yorkie's abilities. Each one is different, but they tend to be active dogs. You can safely walk your new little one as far as he wants to go.
The only caution I have heard relates to jumping and the damage it can do to a Yorkie's fragile knees. Ideally, they should not be allowed to jump up and down from furniture, for instance.
