Sadly, this kind of attitude is prevalent among many dog owners and it is the reason I cannot walk my boys together in our own neighborhood or most local parks. Too many loose dogs. Every day, I have to drive my boys somewhere to walk. Even then, I am concerned about possible strays.
It's true. Even in our neighborhood where there are no longer any but one large dog on this block, I keep my head on a swivel, looking for loose dogs - and now, of course, for dogs that got out of their own yard after seeing those big dogs on the next block moving their fence when they hit against it!!! One day they might break out of there!
