I have been going back and forth about getting another one as well. There are a lot of things to consider. I think Gracie would love to have another dog to play with but it does mean more work and more time.

You are not home most of the day so does your boyfriend make sure your dog gets enough exercise and attention during the day? Exercise is really important for dogs to keep them happy and healthy. You say your dog has lots of energy. Is he able to run that energy off like he should? Will your boyfriend want to spend the time training the new puppy? The added vet expenses are another thing to consider.
