I had piggy backed on a nice ladies intro...again I apologize. Didn't know what I was doing lol. I wanted to say hi and tell you that we are picking up a 3 pound yorkie tomorrow from a young friend who hasn't the time to care for him, sadly. He will be a new member to our canine family as we have a Shih Tsu mix, female of 9 years of age. She met this little boy in the summer when we babysat him for a week. They got along very well, tho he tuckered her out due to his rambunctious nature. I come from a long history of many dogs...and am a very good trainer, thing is people all around me are telling me that "Terrier equals terrorist" (in a joking way, of course) and are going on and on about how no dog is like a terrier. I'm not really sure what they mean by that. I see how fearless this boy is and how active, but I still am not even sure how much exercise a little 3 pound 1 year old boy could possibly need or not need. I don't want to hurt his spine or knees in any way. I used to have a 3 pound Pomeranian 20 years ago and she got hurt being too active. She had severe spine issues and I had to completely retrain her in order to make sure she wasn't in pain. I do not want this happening again!!! Can I walk this dog around a block (15 minutes) without hurting him? Thanks in advance.
