| Should I get a second Yorkie? (New to the forum!) Hi everyone! I've just signed up to this community In June 2012 I was on vacation in Florida (I'm Polish/Canadian and have lived in Switzerland for 9 years now) and in Fort Lauderdale I fell in love with my wittle Bentley! He's a Chocolate Yorkie, born in March 2012. He's a very, very active and loving puppy - he's still learning so it's not always so easy But he's a lot of fun. I work full-time and am gone every day for at least 8 hours. I live with my boyfriend and he works at a bar/restaurant which means he's at home during the day and goes to work around 4pm-6pm. That's around when I get home (maybe I'll get home around 7pm or 8pm sometimes) so it works out pretty well. But, what we've thought about now, is to maybe get a second puppy, also a Yorkie But I need advice: - Would 2 dogs be too much of a handful? - Should we get another male puppy or think about a female? Bentley loves playing with other dogs when we go for walks (no matter the size of the dog haha...) and that's why we think it would maybe be great for him to have a friend at home. Help - what do you think?? Thanks so much!! - Michelle |
