Hes taking amoxicillian 50 mg twice a day, flagyl 25 mg twice a day and budesondine 1mg per day as well as Pepcid 2.5 mg twice a day.
Has anyone else had success in keeping their dogs IBD under control? What medications did you give your dog and for how long?
What diet seemed to help keep their IBD under control?
Gizmo is still not acting like himself 100% and the vet said it could take some time. I hate giving him all of these medications since hes only 3lbs
Thank you everyone! |
Wow poor Gizmo, so many ailments in such a little body! How's he doing? Is he off his meds?
Princess had colitis. She's on a high fiber, low fat diet. She gets The Honest Kitchen for breakfast & Canine Caviar (grain free highest digestibility kibble on the market) for dinner & THK again b4 bedtime as a snack. I also tried numerous probiotics (expensive too!), but the only one that didn't upset her tummy (cause soft poopies) was Benebac. She's doing great & is back on her ideal weight (she had lost half a pound).
