I got my first yorkie when I was 21 and living in an apartment. It was definitely a big change from my kitties, but I loved it. You are now responsible for a living being... Taking him for walks, ensuring he is socialized, fed a nutritious food, that he gets the vet care he needs etc.
Good luck with puppyhood! Make sure to take lots of pictures because it goes by soooo fast!
