I got her in on a cancellation to her Rheumatologist and she said that the PVNS is rare and it is not treated by rheumatologists but orthopedic surgeons. She is ordering an MRI and then my daughter has to see her orthopedist to see if he will do surgery on the other knee now. Originally he said you don't get it in both knees and that her rheumatologist needs to get her RA under control. So were right back where we started.
Guinness- her fluid is usually yellow but today it was all bloody probably because they have gone in 5 times in 5 weeks and drained it.
Gemy- She is 27 and been dealing with this for years. She is overweight and she needs to lose weight but can't exercise and eats poorly. I have told her to ask her primary care doctor for a referral to a nutritionist but so far they haven't.
There also appears to be some hormonal component that BC pills may help but her RA meds raise her blood pressure along with her being overweight so they won't put her on it.
Thanks for all the prayers.I know they helped us get in today on a cancellation when it usually takes 3 months to get an appointment. |
