I do have to state something here...This man grew up in Saskatchewan...its daggon cold there! I'm a Jamaican...me and the cold are mortal enemies! So I keep the house warm....I'm asleep, its midnight, he gets home from work...and fights with the blasted window to get it open, cuz its frozen shut. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU??! So of course I wake up from all the racket of this man fighting the window...I'm like 'Did you forget who you married?!' I truly asked him if he wanted to die that night?! It was minus something stupid like 40 below with the windchill...and this idiot is opening the f^%king window!!!
Hence I get car mats and a heater that Christmas! We didn't stay married very long...seriously he is so lucky to be alive...opening the d***n window that's frozen shut cuz its -40C outside...sorry venting.... |
Lol!!!! Us Saskatchewanians are a special breed... we can stand -50 in the winter.
My husband and I don't really buy many gifts for each other, but he is always better than me when he does! So my story is not about my husband...
Let me take you back about 14 years. I was 14. My two best friends and I went to a Backstreet Boys concert. Before we went, we were at Walmart and my friends bought Backstreet Boy t-shirts with their favourite boy on them. I didn't buy one because I already had my outfit picked out and knew I would never wear it around school or anything. But anyways, one friend and I both liked Nick Carter. That's the t-shirt she bought. After the concert, she realized she actually liked AJ better! It was a big switch.
Fast forward 4 months to Christmas. I thoughtfully bought her a ton of bath products and lotions and candles, making sure none of them contained anything she was allergic to. I opened my gift from her on Christmas morning and it was the Nick Carter t-shirt that she bought for herself, when I was with her! And she wore it to the concert we went to together! She just didn't want it anymore.
