I agree with the stainless-steel combs. I have a madden comb and that is the only thing I use of my yorkies coat. Starting at the roots and working the knots up and out. Take your time. Your yorkie will get use to the combing the more you do it. My yorkie was terrible at first, but now all I have to do is pick up the comb and she comes running. She would lay there all day and let me brush her if I wanted to. Patience is the keyword.
