This is exactly what I do!! When the food on the special little plate is gone, no more food for the baby! While I do not like to feed from the formal table, in the evening when people are eating off TV trays in front of the TV, I will allow it. The rest of the time, I keep mine in my bedroom away from all the running, throwing, jumping and arguing and hollering and crying,.....and I also like to keep them away from the kids too!!
I usually boil a chicken breast and put some of that on the "special plate",
6 canned green beans, 6 bites of cucumber which they adore,4 bites boiled sweet potato and I get a doggie cake for Holidays....baked in the tiny mini cupcake pans, so they can also enjoy sharing dessert with the baby.... These "bites" of cut up food are about the size of 1/2 a small green grape, so I dont think I am going over alloted calorie content for a day.... Hailee is only allowed 114 cal/day since she is on a diet....
